Well that is apparently what happened in the fallen hero time line. Of course it didn't help him as he first got sealed in the in the sacred realm, resealed then killed by another link centuries later in spite of ganon having the whole Triforce at the time. I guess that makes the link from the link to the past stronger than the hero of time?
